Senior Product Manager, Power Train

With $6.9 billion in sales, a strong customer base and global reach spanning nearly 70 countries, we are uniquely positioned to deliver greater value to our customers and create new opportunities for our people. /p /brpWe are currently seeking a Senior Product Manager, Power Train to join our dynamic team in Bologna, Italy! /p /brpThe successful candidate will be responsible for the PowerTrain portfolio deployment as a combined solution that includes the power distribution from the MV down to the rack server. /p /brpThe successful candidate will concentrate on the strategic and operational intergation of the PowerTrain portfolio, which includes: MV Switchgears, Transformers, LV Switchgears, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), batteries (mainly VRLA and LIB technologies), Static Transfer Systems (STS), Power Distribution Units (PDU), Remote Power Panels (RPP), Busbars Systems, Energy Management System (Vertiv Unify), offered in any close-coupled combination as well as integrated in a Skid base. Alternative power sources e.g. BESS etc. are also part of the Vertiv PowerTrain offer /p /brh3Duties Responsibilities /h3 /brp· Manage the full lifecycle of the PowerTrain portfolio, including new product introduction (NPDI process), line extensions, product updates, rationalization, and end-of-production planning (phase-in / phase-out process). /p /brp· Gather and prioritize customer, channel, and market requirements through direct engagement with sales teams, consultants, contractors, distributors, and end users. /p /brp· Define and communicate voice-of-customer requirements and support product business cases for new developments and enhancements. /p /brp· Research market trends, demand drivers, specification practices, and competitor positioning in PowerTrain markets. /p /brp· Develop regional go-to-market plans and support sales and marketing strategies to maximize portfolio revenue and profitability. /p /brp· Manage product line profitability, pricing guidance, forecast assumptions, and corrective actions to support business targets. /p /brp· Support sales teams on technical positioning, product education, competitive comparisons, and major project opportunities requiring deep application knowledge. /p /brp· Prepare and deliver technical presentations, PowerTrain solutions training, launch materials, and sales enablement collateral for internal and external stakeholders. /p /brp· Work with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve lead time, availability, quality, and lifecycle support of the PowerTrain solutions portfolio. /p /brp· Collaborate with consultants and contractors, in coordination with Technical Sales, to help secure inclusion of PowerTrain solutions within project specifications. /p /brp· Attend trade shows, conferences, customer visits, and other relevant events to strengthen market visibility and gather market intelligence. /p /brp· Communicate regularly with senior management and provide periodic updates on product performance, market developments, pipeline quality, win rate and strategic opportunities. /p /brh3Essential Criteria /h3 /brp· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; advanced degree preferred (such as MS.c etc.) /p /brp· At least 7 years’ previous experience in product management, technical marketing, application engineering, or strategic business development within power distribution or adjacent electrical infrastructure markets. /p /brp· Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution and controlling for critical infrastructures technologies, applications, customer requirements, and procurement procedures within the industry. /p /brp· Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into product roadmaps, business cases, and commercial actions. /p /brp· Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage growth, profitability, pricing, and portfolio priorities. /p /brp· English Business Proficiency (at least C1) is a requirement. /p /brp· Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop technical and commercial presentations. /p /brp· Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across sales, marketing, engineering, operations, and supply chain. /p /brp· Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant business systems such as CRM and planning tools. /p /brp· Motivated, professional, self-driven, and goal-orientated approach. /p /brp· Ability to travel across the region as required. /p /brpThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities. /p /brh3OUR CORE PRINCIPALS /h3 /brpSafety.
