AWS - Data Architect

Overview

As an AWS Data Architect at NTT DATA, you will design and optimize data pipelines on AWS, bridging Data Science and Data Engineering to meet client outcomes. You’ll collaborate with business analysts and solution architects to translate use cases into scalable data solutions. You’ll work on large-scale data lakes, guide tradeoffs, and mentor engineers to follow best practices. • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architectures on AWS using native services (e.g., Glue, Lambda) or data management tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica)
• Design and optimize data models on AWS data stores (Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS, S3)
• Structure data operations and perform performance engineering for large-scale data lakes in production
• Participate in client design workshops and provide recommendations and tradeoffs for solutions
• Mentor engineers in coding best practices and problem solving

Responsibilities

• Cloud native experience in GCP, AWS, or Azure with at least 5 years in AWS preferred
• Experience with Big Data architectures, cloud and on-premises
• AWS infrastructure and networking experience
• Experience with AWS collection services (Kinesis, Kafka, DMS)
• Experience with AWS storage services (S3, RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB)
• Experience with AWS compute services (EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS)
• Proven ability to deliver proofs-of-concept addressing business needs using appropriate data sources and technologies
• Experience migrating workloads from on-premises to cloud
• Experience monitoring distributed infrastructure using AWS tools or open-source tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK)
• Proven coding experience in Java, Scala, Python, shell scripting
• Experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and other Azure ETL/ELT tools
• AWS Certification: Solutions Architect and/or Data Analytics
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Kanban)
• SQL knowledge
• Experience with source control tools such as CodeCommit or GitHub
