Job Description:Leonardo is one of the strategic industrial partners - together with British BAE Systems and Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries – in the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), aimed at the development and production of a next-generation air system, defined as a ‘system of systems’. Used for multi-domain defence operations, the system is characterised by a ‘core platform’ connected with other piloted and uncrewed peripheral adjunct systems.The programme, one of the most challenging and futuristic in the Aerospace and Defence industry, will lead the technological revolution that will shape the sector over the next fifty years. Lead in the provision of Commercial elements for the Life Cycle Management and for Bid Approval process.Support line managers, by taking responsibility for the preparation of quotations and detailed Agreements including but not limited to Purchase Orders, Enabling Agreements, Technical Assistance Agreements, Service Level Agreements.It is recommended to include a list of specific and detailed technical knowledge and competencies - including information technology skills and soft skills, if and when necessary)Skills and ExperiencePrevious experience in a commercial, contracts roleContract analysis/management skills such as ability to identify potential risks in contract termsSupport to contract acquisition/bid processesAnalytical and critical thinkingOrganisational and time-management skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsDesirableExperience in contract renewals and amendmentsSupport to negotiation planning and strategiesCustomer and stakeholder relationship management skillsUnderstanding of resource & budget managementGovernance experiencewhat we offerEngagement, enhancing skills, looking after people’s wellbeing, health and safety are the cornerstones of our company culture.
