POSITION SUMMARYThe Manager for Field Service Engineers plays a pivotal role in leading a team of engineers responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of Vertiv and legacy company equipment at customer sites across the EMEA region (ITALY). This role ensures operational excellence, team performance, and customer satisfaction through effective leadership and strategic oversightRESPONSIBILITIESLead, coach, and manage a team of Field Service Engineers across designated territories.Ensure timely and high-quality execution of installation, maintenance, and repair services.Drive team performance through KPIs, efficiency metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.Maintain compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations.Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Technical Support, Logistics) to ensure seamless service delivery.Foster strong customer relationships, acting as a point of escalation and ensuring satisfaction.Identify training needs and support the development of technical and soft skills within the team.Manage resource planning, scheduling, and workload balancing to optimize service coverage.SKILLS & COMPETENCIESIn-depth technical knowledge of Vertiv and legacy equipment.Team leadership and performance management.Customer relationship management.Operational planning and resource optimization.Safety and compliance awareness.Data-driven decision-making and reporting.QUALIFICATIONSFormal Engineering qualification in a related fieldProven experience managing field service teams in a technical or engineering environment.Strong leadership and people management skills.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDSPlease list all physical and environmental demands that may performed on a regular basis.TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED25%The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits.
