Senior Analyst/Associate — Equity Prop Trading

Posizione:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated investment professional with 3-6 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment analysis, or a closely related investment role to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is an analytical, market-oriented individual with solid experience in evaluating investment opportunities, forming independent views, and developing clear investment theses.

The candidate should be able to effectively communicate investment ideas and supporting rationale, while continuously monitoring positions, assessing risks, and explaining the key drivers of performance and risk exposure. This role is well suited for someone with a strong analytical foundation and the ambition to evolve into a Portfolio Manager position.

As a key member of the investment team, you will contribute to the generation, analysis, execution, and monitoring of investment ideas across equity and derivatives markets, with a focus on developing portfolio construction, risk management, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the investment and trading team to identify, analyze, and implement investment strategies across a wide range of industries, sectors and themes.

Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis on listed companies, sectors, and market themes, with a focus on European and North American markets.

Contribute to investment ideas across value investing, long-short strategies, pre-event opportunities, and special situations.

Support the execution and monitoring of equity and derivatives positions.

Analyze market trends, company data, financial statements, and macroeconomic developments to support informed investment decisions.

Contribute to portfolio construction, risk assessment, and performance optimization.

Stay up to date with market developments, corporate events, and regulatory changes.

Work closely with senior team members with the objective of progressively taking on portfolio management responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in equity research, investment analysis, or a closely related investment role.

Strong understanding of financial markets, listed equities, and derivatives instruments (options, futures)

Focus on European and North American markets.

Solid fundamental and quantitative analytical skills.

Strong interest in developing portfolio management capabilities.

Fluency in English and Italian.

Excellent problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a strong team player attitude.

In line with applicable pay transparency legislation, this role is offered on a fixed-term contract, with a minimum gross annual salary of €65,000 and a contractual classification as "Quadro Direttivo di 1° livello (QD1)" under the Italian National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Credit Sector (CCNL Credito). This is complemented by a benefits package and eligibility for the incentive scheme, as set out in the remuneration policies in force from time to time, which are available on the Mediobanca intranet.
