Category Specialist

Overview

As a Category Specialist in Sephora's Offer Department, you shape category strategies and drive growth through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration. You will tailor assortments and marketing plans to local needs, negotiate strong supplier partnerships, and coordinate launches and budgets. You'll work closely with Sales, Merchandising, Trade Marketing, and Finance to execute the annual plan and boost turnover and margin. This role offers exposure to market-leading beauty trends and a dynamic, inclusive culture in Milan.

Responsabilità

• Analyze categories using panels and ad hoc studies to guide brand strategy
• Conduct weekly sell-out analyses and define action plans to improve sales and market share
• Develop and implement brand marketing plans, seeking exclusivity partnerships
• Adapt assortment and merchandising plans with Sales and Merchandising teams to fit local needs
• Plan and secure key product animation slots aligned with beauty trends in collaboration with trade marketing
• Negotiate with suppliers to maximize partnerships and build strong relationships
• Coordinate with Central teams to align on initiatives and budgets
• Monitor brand portfolio budgets and support execution of turnover and margin objectives
• Support launches of new products and define forecasts for each launch

Requisiti fondamentali

• 2–3 years of experience in category, product management or operational marketing
• Analytical strength and comfort with numbers; beauty trend awareness
• Fluent in Italian and English
• Excellent communication and partnership-building skills
• Observant, adaptable, and discreet; autonomous with initiative
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
