As the Global Chemical Engineering Expert at Givaudan, you will act as the overall subject matter expert in Chemical Engineering and coach project teams. You will oversee capex project design phases, drive standardization, and foster knowledge transfer across global resources to raise technical excellence. You will liaise with CoE, IM&S, and stakeholders to ensure standards are applied for successful project delivery. This role blends engineering rigor with innovation to advance sustainability KPIs and operational performance. - Oversee the engineering design phase of capex projects in Chemical Engineering
- Support project teams through design, vendor selection, FAT, commissioning and start‑up phases
- Standardise engineering design packages and equipment in Chemical Engineering
- Deliver and update engineering design methodology standards
- Maintain documentation repository for Chemical Engineering
- Coordinate with CoE, IM&S, and divisional functions to apply standards to new projects
- Scout innovations in equipment to enable step changes in operations and sustainability KPIs
- Provide knowledge transfer and embed best practices across local, regional, and global levels
- Qualify new equipment vendors in collaboration with operations and IM&S to reduce supplier dependence
- Coach and develop project teams and evaluate local experts for future roles
- Build and maintain a global network of experts within Givaudan
- Provide technical expertise to operations and stakeholders
- Participate in global programs
- MSc in Engineering or equivalent
- 15+ years in manufacturing engineering, maintenance, or plant operations
- Capex Project Management experience (field) is required
- Fluent English; French or other languages beneficial
- MS Office literacy
- LEAN/TPM/6 sigma certification; GMP, EHS certifications beneficial
- Experience in fine/speciality chemistry preferred
