We are looking for qualified Laser Operator Assistants to join our growing team. Laser Operator Assistants help Laser Operators with running the department smoothly. The ideal team member will have high energy, likes working in a fast‑paced environment, and can easily adapt to priority changes. Full‑time position available on 2nd shift. Work is in a climate‑controlled manufacturing facility with a friendly environment and a small company feel.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Laser Operator with the laser machine
• Responsible for selecting and moving material from the sheet rack to be laser cut based on the router requirements.
• Load or unload materials onto the laser table and sort cut parts into job order boxes per work instructions.
• Ability to multi‑task
• Good work ethic
• Willing to learn
• High School Diploma or GED required

Position Demands

• Able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and stand for long periods of time on a daily basis
• Able to bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, etc.
• Able to successfully pass vision screens
• Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
• Perform repetitive duties, such as hammering parts.
• Steel toe shoes are required

Schedule

• Training – Monday – Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm (overtime possible daily and Friday)
• Shift – Monday – Thursday 3:30 pm – 2:00 am (overtime possible daily and Sunday)

Eligibility Requirements

• This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export‑controlled technology. Ferco Aerospace will require proof of status prior to employment.
