ph3Senior Director Business Development - DIID (Dermatology, Immunology Inflammatory Diseases) - (home based in UK, Sweden, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Portugal, Poland, Netherland or Italy) /h3 h3About This Role /h3 pAs part of our bDIID (Dermatology, Immunology Inflammatory Diseases /b team you will working alongside passionate and innovative professionals to ensure our customers achieve their goals. /p pThe bSenior Director Business Development - DIID (Dermatology, Immunology Inflammatory Diseases) /b is responsible for the business development strategy and client retention in an allocated sales territory or with specified accounts. Responsible for the coordination of all activities delegated to business development staff. /p pIf you have a a strong network within DIID (Dermatology, Immunology Inflammatory Diseases) - I want to hear from you! /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liInitiate, coordinate and develop strategic plans and sales strategies within a specified territory or accounts. /li liMeet annual sales goals and objectives. /li liIdentify new business sales opportunities for TFS and to work with the internal TFS team to respond appropriately to any enquiry, for example a Request for Information (RFI) or a Request for Proposal (RFP) /li liFacilitate the preparedness of the TFS team in attending any client meetings, for example General Capabilities Meetings or Bid Defense Meetings (BDM) /li liCoordinate and monitor any budget or contract negotiations, post award of any work to TFS within a specified territory or accounts. /li liEstablish and maintain regular contact and an excellent rapport with future and current clients. /li liOrganize and prepare for sponsor presentations. /li liCollect critical information for proposal preparation. /li liUnderstand the RFI/RFP process and provide detailed input and leadership of the RFI response / proposal generation process for each opportunity initiated. /li liManage costs e.g. expenses appropriately and to submit claims in a timely manner. /li liPositively interact with TFS operations personnel, keeping track of study status for projects with sponsors and help coordinate change orders when notified of a change of scope by operations. /li liMonitor and track competitor CRO activities. /li liPlan and attend major industrial events and tradeshows, as budgeted and required. /li liDevelop account strategies implementation plans and expand through accounts. /li liIdentify new markets and research new business opportunities, identifying likely sales points within a specified territory or accounts. /li liCoordinate and supervise all activities aiming to develop and retain clients. /li liCollect, compile, analyze and present data related to business development activity. /li liRecord all activities and client contacts / interactions in the Customer Relationship Management system (salesforce.com) /li liManage and/or mentor more junior members of the business development team (where appropriate) /li liProvide input and to actively support the Head of Business Development/ Vice President/ EVP Business Development in their role. /li liEncourage open and transparent communication throughout the business development department and the wider TFS organization. /li liProvide reports as required for senior management and demonstrate leadership in best reporting practices. /li liPerform all activities in compliance with the departmental SOPs and other quality documents (e.g., Job Specifications) /li liAssist the Heads of Business Units and Business Lines in the management of the PL for the Site Management functional service line and in order to enable current and new business in any assigned country. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s Degree or highly relevant industry experience /li liMinimum of seven (7) years of clinical research and/or sales experience /li liConsiderable sales experience of more than 5 years with strong negotiation and analytical skills /li liExcellent communication skills and team leadership capabilities consistent with influencing and driving multiple stakeholders towards meeting the customer’s needs. /li liExcellent organizational, planning and multitasking skills, as well as a predisposition to entrepreneurship, results and customer focus /li liExcellent knowledge of TFS / CRO business /li liComputer competency and familiarity with Microsoft Office /li liExcellent English communication and interpersonal skills /li liAwareness of trends and government policies and regulations in the clinical trials area of TFS Group countries /li liAbility to work independently and efficiently. /li liGood planning, organization and problem solving abilities /li liExcellent written and verbal communication skills /li liStrong, and effective presentation skills; ability to convincingly present features and benefits of service to clients /li liTravel according to the needs of the business development strategy and to travel extensively within the sales territory and to company meetings as required /li /ul pFor candidates based in Italy - we welcome applications from candidates belonging to protected categories under art. 1 L. 68/99. /p pFor candidates based in Spain - TFS is committed to equal opportunities.
