Frontend Engineer Intern

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer Intern to support our technical work for a Rome-based international investment group. This role focuses on building the interfaces that allow our team and clients to visualize complex financial assessments and economic models.

The Role

As a Frontend Engineer Intern, you will work in a technical capacity to support our advisory team. This is a fully remote position where you will contribute to the development of web-based tools used to present data to an international investment group based in Rome. You will work alongside senior developers to create clear, functional, and accurate front‑end components. The work involves taking numerical data and translating it into a format that a user can easily interact with. Since we are a small firm, your contributions to the codebase will be visible and used in real client engagements.

What You Will Be Doing

• Building and maintaining reusable user interface components using JavaScript and modern frameworks.
• Converting financial charts and tables into interactive web dashboards for client reviews.
• Working with the advisory team to understand the specific data points that need visual emphasis in a report.
• Ensuring that all web interfaces are responsive and work correctly across different devices and browsers.
• Collaborating with back‑end teammates to connect user interfaces with financial data sources.
• Writing unit tests and performing manual testing to ensure numerical accuracy on the frontend.
• Documenting code changes and maintaining clean version control practices.
• Assisting in the deployment of internal tools used for capital allocation analysis.
• Updating existing web pages to reflect new pricing models or acquisition assumptions.

What You Bring

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS fundamentals through coursework or personal projects.
• Basic knowledge of a frontend library such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Strong interest in how software can be used to solve complex financial problems and display data.
• High accuracy when working with numbers and complex layouts.
• Effective communication skills to discuss technical problems with non‑technical team members.
• A logical approach to troubleshooting and fixing bugs in front‑end code.
• Ability to manage your own time effectively in a fully remote work setting.
• Curiosity about how businesses make high‑stakes commercial decisions.
