That's the energy and passion behind Amazon. /ppFor our AWS data centers in the Milan area, we are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist (DSS). Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and innovative. They enjoy teamwork and looking for continuous improvement in security posture and processes. This position is to be 80% operational and 20% related to admin and reporting. The DSS will support a Senior Data Center Security Manager in charge of physical security operations in multiple Data Centers. The DSS role will include the supervision of the contract guard force. They will conduct drills and tests, investigate alarms, and participate in daily operations from a security point of view, liaising with internal and external stakeholders. /ph3Key job responsibilities /h3ulliCoordinate day-to-day activities and site security operations. /liliCoordinate with Operations and Safety Managers for facility operations. /liliProvide guidance to contract security provider personnel. /liliEvaluate the contract security provider performance and service delivery and request corrective actions from vendors as needed. /liliFoster working relationships to educate data center stakeholders on false alarm reductions. /liliExtract metrics and observe improvements by looking at and analyzing data. /liliVerify Data Center security programs are delivered to meet defined global security standards. /liliAssist in all media integrity related programs. /liliAssist in the training of new and existing personnel on behavioral compliance to security policies and procedures. /liliHandle escalations and resolve tasks delegated and/or assigned to the team. /liliDraft reports and prepare presentations on the status of physical security operations. /liliCollaborate with managers in writing and implementing security policies, processes and procedures based on regional or global security initiatives. /liliServe as a customer advocate by identifying security-related opportunities and crafting innovative solutions that maintain security standards. /liliParticipate in site audits, inspections and walk-through. /liliIdentifying, discussing and bringing forward issues and solutions to senior team members. /li /ulh3About the team /h3pDiverse Experiences AWS values diverse experiences.
