The Thermal and Cooling Lead Design Engineer is responsible for the design, development and validation of advanced cooling technologies for the next generation of gas turbine combustion systems, including development rig and engine test campaigns, planning, monitoring, data reduction and documentation. In this role you will learn processes that meet business needs across the organization, participate in solving complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Detailed thermal analysis, design, and test functions required to define components, assemblies, and systems that meet program and product requirements
• Use and development of engineering tools to perform thermal evaluations
• Successful planning, design and execution of test programs
• Compliant communications of thermal technical data
• Lean / Six Sigma

Qualifications/Requirements

• Master’s degree (preferred) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university with a focus on combustion systems
• Proven relevant thermal design experience
• Fluent English and Italian knowledge
• Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
