Your role 

The Data Scientist is responsible for the design, development and industrialization of scalable machine learning solutions across EssilorLuxottica’s value chain. The role ensures the delivery of production-grade AI systems integrated into business processes, generating measurable impact.

The position works in close collaboration with multiple business functions.

Main responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end machine learning solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
• Build and maintain data pipelines, feature engineering workflows, and model training processes
• Manage the full ML lifecycle, including validation, deployment, monitoring, and retraining
• Partner closely with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Identify and deliver high-impact AI use cases aligned with enterprise priorities
• Develop models across core domains (e.g., forecasting, customer intelligence, computer vision, generative AI)
• Contribute to scalable ML frameworks and reusable components for enterprise-wide deployments
• Ensure adoption of MLOps best practices (versioning, monitoring, observability, continuous improvement)
• Guarantee compliance with data governance, security, and quality standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and product stakeholders

Main requirements:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering or similar roles
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn)
• Proven experience delivering ML solutions in production environments
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end ML lifecycle
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and data architectures
• Solid software engineering skills (APIs, system design, version control)
• Ability to manage complex technical initiatives autonomously
• Fluent English

• Annual Gross Salary: 35.000 Eur – 50.000 Eur
