Based in Milan, our team manages the full spectrum of multimodal transport services for CLdN Cargo’s Italian operations — combining road, rail and short-sea shipping to deliver efficient, sustainable door-to-door solutions for our clients. We are a dynamic, international team in a phase of significant growth, and we are looking for people who want to grow with us. /p pWithin this challenging position, you will be the backbone of our daily multimodal transport planning, ensuring that our truck operations across Italy and beyond run smoothly, efficiently and on time. No two days are the same — and your decisiveness and proactive mindset will make a real difference. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liPlan daily truck movements across the Italy multimodal network, selecting optimal routes and carrier combinations using our TMS system. /li liMonitor live operations throughout the day: track shipments, anticipate issues and intervene swiftly when plans change. /li liCoordinate with Customer Service colleagues to provide timely updates whenever shipment details change or delays arise. /li liPrepare the next day’s planning, taking into account loading and unloading windows, driver hours regulations (EU Reg. 561/2006) and customer‑specific instructions. /li liManage and assign available equipment (trailers, swap bodies, containers) across collection and delivery runs. /li liLiaise with carriers, drivers and depot teams to ensure seamless execution of the daily plan. /li liContribute to continuous improvement of planning processes and tools. /li /ul h3Your profile /h3 ul liMinimum secondary school diploma (equivalent to MBO level 4 or higher); a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field is a plus. /li li2 years of experience in transport planning, logistics operations or a related role is preferred — though strong motivation and a genuine interest in the sector count just as much. /li liGood understanding of multimodal transport (road, rail, short‑sea) is an advantage. /li liProficiency in English (written and spoken); Italian is required; /li liHands‑on, solution‑oriented mindset: you take ownership and follow through. /li liAccurate and organised: you keep a clear head even when things get busy. /li liStrong communicator: you interact confidently with planners, drivers, carriers and internal stakeholders. /li liComfortable working with transport management systems (TMS) and standard office tools. /li /ul h3Our offer /h3 ul liA collaborative, international team environment with a strong operational culture. /li liReal responsibility from day one, with room to learn and develop your career. /li liExposure to a broad multimodal logistics operation spanning road, rail and short‑sea. /li liCompetitive salary package in line with market standards. /li liMeal vouchers (ticket restaurant). /li liFlexibility, including the possibility of two remote working day per week. /li liA role at the heart of a growing European logistics group. /li /ul h3Contact /h3 pAre you interested in learning more about this position or do you want to apply?
