Scheduled to open in Winter 2026, the resort will mark the debut of Mandarin Oriental in one of Italy's most renowned mountain destinations, combining the legendary heritage of the Cristallo with Mandarin Oriental's exceptional service, refined design, and award-winning hospitality. /p pThe resort will feature elegantly appointed rooms and suites, exceptional dining experiences, a world-class Spa Wellness Centre, and curated year-round experiences designed for discerning international travellers seeking the finest alpine luxury. /p pJoining the pre-opening team offers a unique opportunity to help shape one of Europe's most anticipated luxury hotel openings, contributing to the creation of an extraordinary guest experience from day one. /p h3About The Role /h3 pBased at bMandarin Oriental Cristallo, Cortina /b, the Food Beverage Manager plays a key role in the successful pre-opening and ongoing operation of the resort's Food Beverage division. The Food Beverage Manager supports the leadership and day-to-day management of all Food Beverage operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence and strong financial performance across the resort's restaurants, bars, in-room dining and events operations. /p pDuring the pre-opening phase, the role will contribute to the establishment of all Food Beverage operations, recruitment and development of the team, implementation of Mandarin Oriental service standards and procedures, and the overall operational readiness of the division for a successful resort opening. /p pAs a Food Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties: /p h3Pre-Opening Responsibilities /h3 ul liSupport the planning and execution of all departmental pre-opening activities. /li liSupport the setup and operational readiness of restaurants, bars, in-room dining and events operations prior to opening. /li liAssist in recruiting, onboarding, training and developing the Food Beverage team in accordance with Mandarin Oriental standards. /li liImplement departmental policies, Standard Operating Procedures, service sequences and luxury service standards. /li liSupport the development and implementation of outlet concepts, menus, beverage programmes and guest experiences in collaboration with Culinary and the relevant outlet leaders. /li liCoordinate the preparation of operating equipment, supplies, inventories and other departmental opening requirements. /li liParticipate in tastings, training programmes, mock services and operational trials to ensure opening readiness. /li liCollaborate closely with Culinary, Stewarding, Purchasing, Finance, People Culture, Engineering and IT throughout the pre-opening phase. /li liSupport the establishment of departmental reporting, cost control, scheduling and performance management processes. /li /ul h3Operational Responsibilities /h3 ul liOversee the daily operation of all Food Beverage outlets, ensuring consistency, efficiency and exceptional service. /li liMaintain a strong operational presence across the outlets and ensure Mandarin Oriental service standards are consistently delivered. /li liLead, motivate, coach and develop Food Beverage managers, supervisors and colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork and accountability. /li liEnsure guests receive highly personalised, intuitive and engaging service throughout their dining experience. /li liMonitor guest satisfaction and feedback, proactively addressing service issues and identifying opportunities to exceed guest expectations. /li liWork closely with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership team to ensure seamless coordination between front-of-house and kitchen operations. /li liSupport outlet managers in maintaining effective staffing levels, scheduling and colleague productivity according to business requirements. /li liMonitor revenues, payroll, operating expenses and departmental productivity in line with budget and forecast objectives. /li liIdentify and implement revenue-generating opportunities through upselling, promotions, events and enhanced guest experiences. /li liSupport the preparation of departmental budgets, forecasts, operational reports and performance analysis. /li liMonitor Food Beverage costs and support initiatives to improve profitability without compromising quality or guest experience. /li liEnsure compliance with food safety, hygiene, licensing, health safety and all applicable local regulations. /li liEnsure departmental operating equipment, furniture and assets are properly maintained and controlled. /li liCoordinate closely with Rooms, Sales Marketing, Events, Spa and other departments to deliver seamless resort-wide guest experiences. /li liSupport the planning and execution of VIP experiences, private events, special promotions and high-profile functions. /li liEnsure action points arising from daily briefings, operational meetings and guest feedback are implemented effectively. /li liEnsure continuity of leadership and smooth operations across the Food Beverage division when required. /li liPerform any other reasonable duties consistent with the responsibilities and operational requirements of the role. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liDegree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Food Beverage Management or a related discipline is preferred. /li liMinimum 5 years' experience in Food Beverage operations, including previous management experience within a luxury five-star hotel, resort or internationally recognised hospitality environment. /li liPrevious experience as a Food Beverage Manager, Assistant Food Beverage Manager or in a comparable operational leadership position is highly desirable. /li liPrevious luxury hotel pre-opening experience is considered a strong advantage. /li liStrong operational knowledge of restaurants, bars, in-room dining and events or banqueting operations. /li liExcellent understanding of luxury service standards and the ability to translate them into memorable guest experiences. /li liStrong leadership, coaching and people development skills with experience managing multicultural teams. /li liSolid financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, payroll management, cost control and revenue optimisation. /li liGood understanding of food safety, hygiene, HACCP and applicable regulatory requirements. /li liExcellent organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple operational priorities. /li liStrong attention to detail and ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment. /li liExcellent interpersonal and communication skills. /li liPassion for Food Beverage, innovation and
