Finance Specialist

We are looking for a Finance Specialist to join our Finance Italy team and support the day-to-day accounting and finance activities of the business. The role will have a focus on local accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping while also providing Finance support to the business on strategic and corporate activities, including M&A transactions, acquisitions and other business deals. The position will also act as a point of contact for external stakeholders, including auditors, suppliers and external consultants.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Italian accounting and be comfortable working independently in a lean and international organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and perform day-to-day local accounting activities, including general ledger postings, bookkeeping and accounting records.
• Support in performing bank reconciliations and ensuring accurate and timely recording of banking transactions.
• Support periodic Italian tax compliance activities, including VAT procedures and electronic communications through the relevant administration platforms.
• Support the management and recording of withholdings relating to employees, consultants and other relevant parties.
• Support Corporate Income Tax (CIT) accounting and related periodic activities.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness and timely maintenance of accounting documentation and records.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities and provide the necessary information for financial reporting.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers, auditors, external accountants, tax advisors and other consultants.
• Provide Finance support to the business on M&A activities and other strategic transactions, including participation in Q&A processes, due diligence activities, data gathering and financial analysis.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure timely resolution of accounting, tax and finance matters.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and standardization of finance and accounting processes.

Systems & Technical Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (MS Dynamics) is required.
• Solid knowledge of Italian accounting principles and local finance processes.
• Good understanding of periodic Italian tax compliance requirements.
• Good MS Office skills, particularly Excel.

Experience & Qualifications

• Up to approximately 5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting/finance, depending on the final seniority of the selected candidate.
• Experience in local Italian accounting is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience supporting M&A, due diligence or corporate transactions is a plus.
• Previous experience in an international or multinational environment is a plus.
• Experience with payroll-related accounting entries is considered an advantage.
• Fluency in Italian and good working proficiency in English.

Compensation Information

Pursuant to Art. 5 of Legislative Decree No. 96/2026 on pay transparency, the gross annual salary (RAL) for this position is expected to range between €40,000 and €50,000.

The final job classification and compensation package will be determined based on objective, transparent and non-discriminatory criteria, linked to the responsibilities of the role and the skills required, in accordance with the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) applicable to employees in the electricity sector.

Any additional compensation may be considered exclusively where supported by further objectively verifiable factors, such as relevant professional experience, specialist skills or qualifications applicable to the position.
