The role.

The Electrical Engineer will work on projects for international clients in a multinational and multicultural environment, applying the approach of electrical design in Life Sciences and the working procedures of a large, international engineering company.

Responsibilities

The key objectives for this role are:

• Design the Electrical Systems of Life Sciences production plants
• Design plant infrastructures (such as Fire & Gas and access control systems)
• Prepare Electrical technical drawings, such as MV and LV power distribution diagrams
• Prepare equipment specifications of MV switchgears, transformers, power centers, MCC, UPS, etc.
• Perform short circuit calculations, cables sizing and calculations of lighting, grounding and lightning
• Collaborate with Process and Engineering teams to ensure that the Electrical design is compliant with the project needs and client’s expectations
• Coordinate 3rd parties and remote execution centers, such as Wood’s Engineering office in India
• Carry out the technical evaluation of Electrical suppliers’ and contractors’ bids
• Follow up the design of Electrical suppliers and contractors
• Take part in the Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) at suppliers’ premises
• Support Electrical construction and commissioning activities at client’s site

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering
• At least 3 years’ experience in electrical design and multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Fluency in Italian and English
• Strong passion for Electrical technologies
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
• Availability of working on assignment at clients’ or Wood’s sites/offices, is a mandatory requirement

Compensation And Compliance

Contract & Classification

• Contract type: Permanent
• Collective Agreement (CCNL): Industria Metalmeccanica (CNEL C011)
• Job Classification level: Impiegato, consistent with role requirements and applicable CCNL

Compensation

• Gross Annual Salary: the initial gross annual salary will be € 40,000.00, paid in 14 instalments
• The compensation package will include applicable CCNL elements and company benefits
• Variable pay and additional benefits will be detailed during the selection process
