Engine BTE (Brake Thermal Efficiency ) Virtual Analysis engineer

ph3Overview /h3 pThe Engine BTE-Friction-Thermal Virtual Analysis engineer will work within the Propulsion Systems Virtual Engineering team and collaborate with Product Release Centers (PRCs) and other stakeholders to support product development and methodological activities through CAE in the area of Engine Brake Thermal Efficiency (BTE), Engine Friction, and Engine Thermal analysis. This position reports to the Global CAE Manager of the discipline. Robust technical, interpersonal, and team leadership skills are essential. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liEngine 1D/0D fuel economy assessment. /li liEngine structural thermal model (STM) development. /li liEngine lube circuit model development. /li liCranktrain friction model development. /li liValvetrain friction model development. /li liPiston group friction model development. /li liTiming chain/belt friction model development. /li liBalance shaft module (BSM) friction model development. /li liFront end auxiliary drive (FEAD) friction model development. /li liElectrical‑hydraulic‑mechanical devices models development. /li liPerform optimization analysis to ensure the best trade‑off over performance. /li liExecute detailed studies, including root‑cause analysis on issues, identification and validation of enablers for meeting the target. /li liConvert detailed models to fast‑running (FR) and real‑time (RT) ones. /li liModel connection/coupling for integrated system simulation. /li liDevelop innovative solutions for fuel economy, friction, and thermal improvement. /li liPerform correlation activities to demonstrate virtual analysis confidence level. /li liCoordinate execution of CAE activities for propulsion systems programs, including timely delivery of status versus target and proactive identification/validation of enablers. /li liTechnical synthesis, reporting, and communication with clear takeaways, executive summary, and, if needed, risk mitigation plan. /li liDirect interaction with STLA stakeholders for all steering activities: input data collection, assumptions validation, results revision, and communication. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, Applied Physics, or related engineering field). /li liThorough knowledge of the English language, including both written and oral communication. /li liExperience in powertrain virtual analysis using commercial codes such as Gamma Technology GT‑Suite. /li liGeneral knowledge of commercial CAD packaging, including NX and Teamcenter. /li liExperience in CFD‑1D and multibody analysis, focused on conventional and hybrid ICE. /li liEffective communication skills and analytical thinking. /li liFunctional knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). /li liAbility to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and uncertainty. /li liExcellent work ethic, organization, and communication skills. /li /ul pAt Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit and business needs.
