Learn more about our benefits. /ph3General Profile /h3pThe Mechanical Engineering Intern will support the Manufacturing Engineering Department in the daily production and engineering activities at the European Repair Center (ERC) of Applied Materials based in Fagarè - Bocca di Callalta in the municipality of San Biagio di Callalta (TV). This internship provides an opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands‑on experience in a high‑tech manufacturing environment while developing technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Working closely with experienced engineers and technicians, the intern will contribute to process improvement initiatives, production process support, and manufacturing documentation activities, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams such as Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain. /ph3Technical Skills /h3ulliCurrently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. /liliBasic understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes. /liliAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation. /liliFamiliarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, or similar) is a plus. /liliGood analytical and problem‑solving skills. /liliProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. /liliGood communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. /liliFluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken. /li /ulh3Responsibilities /h3ulliSupport Manufacturing Engineers improving the daily production processes. /liliAssist in developing and updating manufacturing procedures and work instructions. /liliParticipate in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives. /liliCollect and analyze manufacturing data to support operational decisions. /liliSupport root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues. /liliAssist in new product introduction and process validation activities. /liliCollaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams. /liliSupport the evaluation of tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment. /liliMaintain engineering documentation and manufacturing records. /liliFollow safety procedures and manufacturing best practices. /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulliDegree in progress or recently completed in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. /liliPrevious academic project, or laboratory experience is a plus. /liliInterest in manufacturing, operations, and continuous improvement. /liliProactive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment. /li /ulh3Additional Information /h3pTime Type: Full time /ppEmployee Type: Intern / Student /ppTravel: No /ppRelocation Eligible: No /ppWe offer a six-month training program within a multinational company that is a global leader in the semiconductor industry, including a monthly expense reimbursement and meal vouchers. /ph3Salary and Compensation /h3pThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
