Commissioning Engineer for PreFab (Prefabricated Data Center Modules)

Overview

In this role you will lead on-site commissioning and diagnostics for Schneider Electric's Modular Data Center modules. You will work with cross-functional teams to assess installation and operating conditions, perform on-site adjustments, and diagnose root causes for quality, software, or operational issues. You'll document results, train customers, and support international projects with extensive travel. This is a hands-on position that shapes performance and reliability of critical data center equipment.

Responsabilità

• Perform Startup & Commissioning on all Modular Data Center equipment ranges
• Evaluate installation and operational conditions of units
• Make on-site adjustments to optimize running conditions
• Conduct root cause analysis to distinguish quality, software, or operating-condition issues
• Collaborate with Schneider Electric service engineers or partners during site interventions
• Document test results and produce site work reports
• Train customers on basic operations of the equipment

Requisiti fondamentali

• Thorough understanding of electrical principles (low-voltage, medium-voltage, UPS, ATS)
• Knowledge of cooling fundamentals and automation/protection relays
• Ability to work with general direction and follow safety policies
• Strong reading, writing, and reporting skills
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
• Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 70%)
• Electrotechnical education (university degree advantageous)
• At least 5 years of commissioning or field service experience
• Experience with LV, MV, UPS and cooling products (Schneider Electric or other brands)
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical skills; ability to use measurement tools
• English fluency (B2+); criteria include flexibility, reliability, customer focus, teamwork
• Software literacy: MS Office, Acrobat, AutoCAD, Cx software
