A key player in major international strategic programmes, it is a technological and industrial partner of governments, defence administrations, institutions and companies. /p pWithin the GCAP Joint Venture, in the GCAP Finance UO, we are looking for a bProject Accountant Specialist /b for GCAP HQ in Reading (UK). /p pThe Project Accountant will play an important role in the Finance Team of the new Joint Venture with our partners BAE and MHI, joining right at the start of its journey. This is a rare opportunity to have exposure to a wide range of tasks and stakeholders at the inception of a new programme, helping shape enduring processes and practices. /p pDue to the fast‑moving nature of the new company, the role is expected to offer a varied workload which will provide an excellent environment to develop skills and will need a candidate who is able to adapt to a changing environment. /p h3Accountabilities /h3 ul liContributing to the shaping of the GCAP JV's Project Finance policies, processes, and procedures; /li liReviewing and understanding key contracts and preparing associated Sales Margin Trading Plans, as well as regular reports on contract status and broader management accounts packs; /li liCollaborating with other functions to understand underlying contract status and proactively resolve any issues, and with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, so to ensure customer claims are raised in a timely and accurate manner, and that vendor charges are appropriate and understood; /li liLiaising with the Accounting Reporting teams to ensure the correct accounting treatment has been adopted for any events requiring judgement; /li liOther ad‑hoc support required across the business partnering and project finance domains which will arise in the early stages of life of the new business /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liRelevant financial qualification (or studying towards it, depending on the level of seniority); /li liStrong academic background and track record. /li /ul h3Skills and Experience /h3 h3Essential /h3 ul liBroad understanding of project accounting processes; /li liAbility to collaborate with stakeholders of various seniorities and backgrounds, relaying financial concepts in a simple and understandable manner; /li liProblem solving mentality and ability to work in a fast‑moving and dynamic environment /li /ul pbSeniority: /b Expert /p pbPrimary Location: /b IT - Roma - Via Montello /p pbContract Type: /b Permanent /p pbHybrid Working: /b Hybrid /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
