As Design Engineer - Components & Accessories, you will drive the lifecycle design of fluidic and electrical components for next-gen engines and control systems. You will collaborate across engineering, quality and systems teams to deliver design, validation and certification while supporting field service needs. This role combines concept studies, detailed design, analysis and documentation to ensure safe, reliable hardware. You will engage in technical reviews and translate requirements into manufacturable, tested solutions. - Capture system requirements and translate them into component architecture and key characteristics
- Elicit and release technical requirements for pumps, filters, valves, tanks, heat exchangers and sensors
- Create part/module/assembly definitions using 2D/3D models and tolerances for analysis, manufacturing and inspection
- Lead design, analysis or evaluation of assigned components following engineering standards and program needs
- Ensure design deliverables meet internal and external expectations within project milestones
- Issue technical documentation per engineering policies, including analyses, certification reports and design records
- Lead and participate in technical and program reviews with internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare test plans, define pass/fail criteria and correlate test data with physical phenomena
- Own root-cause investigations and non-conformances (MRB) and drive development actions
- Coordinate test requests, data analysis and lab investigations to support component performance improvements
- Engineering degree (Bachelor/Master) in Engineering, Physics or related STEM
- Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, materials, hydraulics and electrical disciplines
- Experience defining fluidic/electrical design intent, leading analyses and supporting lifecycle validation
- MRB knowledge and investigations in mechanical/electrical components
- Hands-on experience with fluidic components and systems (fuel, oil, air) in aeronautics
- CAD proficiency (preferably Unigraphics/NX) and GD&T
- MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong accountability, collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interface with internal teams and external suppliers/customers
- Fluent English and Italian
